-- to arrive by private BUS/CAR:
- exit Incisa Valdarno from the A1 autostrada (first exit after Firenze Sud)
- follow directions for and drive through Reggello (less than 10 minutes)
- in Reggello find the indications for Vallombrosa/Donnini and exit that direction
- after 3km from the town of Pietrapiana exit left direction Donnini
- you will see our sign on the right after 1km
- you must unload at the street if you have a large bus; if we know your time arrival we can better help get up to the villa, about 200 meters from the road; ideally a phone call (055-8652001) when exiting the autostrada at Incisa (about 20 minutes away) would give us a forewarning that we should come to pick up luggage, if necessary, and to accompany the driver to the parking area.
ALTERNATIVE FROM FLORENCE
::: follow the road direction Arezzo through the town of Pontassieve
::: after about 5 km on the right is the Sant'Ellero train station
::: another 200 meters on the left is the road coming up the hill
::: follow directions toward Reggello
::: at 10 km after the towns of Donnini and San Donato in Fronzano
our entrance is on the left (1km after San Donato)
-----------------------------------
-- to arrive by TRAIN Monday through Saturday, there are other options but perhaps the simplest are:
- 1:33pm - depart Florence by train to Sant'Ellero (arrival 2:00) - Alterini company bus from behind the Sant'Ellero station leaving about 2:15 for the half hour ride to us
- 5:25pm - depart Florence arriving Sant'Ellero at 5:56; go quickly to the bus because it leaves immediately; if the bus already has left, there is another an hour later (only Monday through Friday)
- 6:33pm – depart Florence arriving Sant'Ellero 7:00.
In any case, make sure you validate in the yellow machine your train ticket before boarding and in Sant'Ellero buy the ticket on the bus. The bus driver knows Casa Cares.
On holidays and Sunday there is no bus connection.
4:15pm – depart Florence for Pontassieve (arrival 4:40)
For other trains on Sunday to Sant’Ellero (leaving Florence, for example, at 1:24pm, 3:24pm, 4:48pm) make arrangements, if possible, for someone to pick you up.
